Flyingtype is my portfolio space. My name is Gretchen Caldwell Rinnert, and I am an interactive and motion graphics designer. I reside in Kent, Ohio where I'm an Assistant Professor at Kent State University, in the School of Visual Communication Design. I teach interactive media and motion design.

Currently I am working on an identity and interface design for Kentolicious, a project lead by my husband, photographer Bryan Rinnert. I am exploring the style, and type treatment.

The Red Shoes, an animation by Gretchen Caldwell Rinnert,
Doug Goldsmith and Bryan Rinnert. This is a collaborative project that combines art, photography, and stop motion in a short film. One day in the near future we will complete this project! So far, so good:
